Do I need a permit?
Permits are required for those rentals where part, or all, of the waste container is going to end up on public property. For example, if you are doing a job where the dumpster needs to be placed on a spot that is owned by the city you're working within, that would require a permit. Even residential deliveries where part of the dumpster might end up in the street or even on the sidewalk, these require permits. Permits can be obtained through the city and they must be onsite and able to be presented to our driver when they arrive with your roll-off rental. Failure to obtain a permit before delivery day would mean that you do not receive your dumpster and you would need to reschedule once you have obtained the necessary paperwork. This would also result in a trip fee being assessed to your account.
What is a trip fee?
Trip fees are charges assessed to your accounts for violations of the terms of service. Other examples that result in trip fees are if we cannot reach you either for delivery or waste removal. Or, if you over-fill your dumpster with refuse, regardless of the type of debris it is. If there is a gate on your property that needs to be opened and you are not around to do so, that would result in a trip fee. Trip fees are costly and they are also automatically assessed to the account. Unfortunately, they are also nonrefundable once they have been added to an account.
