Causes For Fees

If you want to avoid extra fees when you rent a dumpster, you must keep a few things in mind. When you rent from us, we will explain everything upfront but in case you need a reminder, here is what you should remember.

Read the email confirmation. After you place your order, we will send you an email confirming the order and this will also explain some of our terms in more detail.
Do not over fill the dumpster. Each one of our dumpsters has a weight limit that cannot be exceeded. We will explain the weight limit at the time of your order.
Place all items IN the dumpster. Materials must not be hanging off the sides or sticking out of the top of the container. We cannot collect a container, if items are not completely inside the dumpster.
Clear your driveway. Our drivers cannot enter a driveway with vehicles or low hanging wires in the way. You do not need to be home at the time of delivery however, your area must be clear of all items.
No hazardous or flammable materials. Please do not place items deemed hazardous or flammable in our containers.
Call us when finished. When you are finished filling your container, make sure to call us. We will never automatically collect your dumpster, without you telling us to. As long as you call before your rental period is over, you will not be charged any fees.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
