What should I know about filling dumpsters with refuse?
There are a few things that we ask you to keep in mind when you are filling your dumpster. For starters, regardless of the type of refuse you are disposing of, we ask that you are filling your dumpster evenly throughout. What this means is that you are not letting one end of the dumpster get filled any higher than the other. There is a door on each unit that can be utilized to make even filling a little easier. If you have any questions about how to maintain an even fill level, feel free to give us a call. Just remember that our drivers are going to be unable to help you move around or remove debris that results in your dumpster being filled unevenly.
When it comes to general household and construction debris, we ask that you are filling your dumpster until the refuse is level with the height of the walls. This means that there is no refuse going above the dimensions of your dumpster. By law, we are not allowed on the road with a dumpster that has been filled beyond capacity. For heavy debris and construction debris dumpsters, please do not fill the unit any more than halfway. This is due to the incurred weight of these substances. Also, please do not mix various forms of heavy debris. If you are going to be disposing of more than one type of heavy debris, please rent your dumpsters accordingly. Rent as many waste containers as you are going to have debris types when disposing of heavy debris.
