What should I do when I finish with the waste container?

When you are finished with your roll-off rental, it's time for a pickup. All you have to do is call us back to schedule your pickup, just be sure that you specify which dumpster you want removed if you have more than one on location. Please note we do not automatically come out to handle your waste removal until you have called and asked us to do so. This is to allow you to take as much time as necessary to get your project accomplished. If you are going to need another dumpster, let us know when you are scheduling your pickup as well. We can arrive with a fresh, empty unit to replace the one that you have filled. We can make sure everything runs smoothly and without any hiccups.

Please be totally finished with a dumpster before calling us to have it removed. Our drivers are not going to be able to wait around while you continue to fill the dumpster with refuse. In this situation, they would leave without the dumpster and your account would be assessed a costly trip fee. These trip fees are automatic and non-refundable. If you need another dumpster, please let us know when you are scheduling the removal of the first so there are no mix-ups when we arrive onsite to remove your rental. If there is any confusion along the way, feel free to contact Budget Dumpster and we can help you sort it out. We want you worry-free throughout the rental.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
