Do I need a permit?
A permit is only going to be required if you have the dumpster being sent to a location that is considered public property. If you personally do not own the location, and you have permission to make delivery, a permit may be necessary. Permits can be obtained through the city and they are required to present on the scheduled date of delivery. If you have any questions about whether your project is going to require a permit, feel free to contact Budget Dumpster between 7 am and 7 pm Eastern Monday thru Friday.
Please note that our drivers will not, for any reason, drop a dumpster at a location that needs a permit but where one is not available. You should be ready to present the permit to our driver when they arrive. Failure to obtain a permit in time for delivery would result in an automatic trip fee being assessed to your account. Trip fees can be over one-hundred dollars and they are non-refundable. Keep this in mind when you are scheduling your order. Our customer service representative will work with you to make sure you have chosen the best location for the job. Sometimes, however, depending on where you would like that open-top order to be placed, it will simply not work out. Our goal is to sort through the situation and either find a remedy or make sure that we don't place an order that is going to have issues when it comes to delivery or even waste removal.
