“TLDR: These guys were great! Rental value was at a deal and super reasonable. There were no surprise charges. They notified us when things were happening. And they were just overall really nice! I needed a 40-yard for an intense DIY home gutting (attic, kitchen, basement - everything!) With the economy being what it is and summer being the high-demand season, prices in the area have been up from usual. Needless to say I was looking for the best deal possible. I did my homework: I figured out all the rules around dumpster rentals (what you can and can't toss in there, possible weight overages, etc.) and then I called a whole list of businesses to find one within my budget. BD happened to be the last one on my list. Every other place had wild prices or didn't have the size I needed. There was only one other place I considered, and BD won me over by answering all of my silly questions patiently. There are certain materials we can and cannot accept in your dumpster. You can toss most household junk, yard waste and construction debris into a roll off dumpster without a problem. However, you cannot throw certain appliances, chemical solutions and other flammable objects away in your bin. Doing so could pose a serious safety hazard, and you will be charged an additional fee. Where should I keep my roll off dumpster?
You’ll need to park your dumpster rental on a flat, paved surface. Your driveway is usually ideal if you’re working from your home. Otherwise, we recommend keeping the roll off container on a private parking lot or construction site. You can also keep the bin in the street, but you may need a permit first. Get in touch with the city of Charlestown’s Board of Public Works for more information on permits.
