Florida Ridge Dumpster Rental Filling Help

No matter what type of debris you are going to be disposing of, we ask that you are filling the waste container rental in the same way. This means that we would like you to fill the dumpsters evenly throughout. Please do not let one end of the container to be filled more than the other. If this is the case, it will be difficult to load the open-top unit back onto the flatbed. Our drivers will not help you spread out the refuse in your rental. It is up to you to make sure that each rental you get with us is evenly spaced when it comes to the debris inside. There is a door on unit that can be utilized to make sure that you are able to adequately spread the refuse on your own. Don't expect our drivers to wait around while you do so. It would result in a trip fee being assessed to your account.

When it comes to general household and construction debris, we ask that you fill each roll-off unit to the point of being level with the height of the walls. Anything above this point and, by law, our dumpster would not be allowed to be loaded back onto the flatbed. Please don't let anything stick above the walls or hang over the side of the container. When it comes to heavy debris, we ask that you do not fill the unit any more than approximately halfway up the height of the walls. Anything more than this and your dumpster would be too heavy to load back onto the flatbed.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
