What is the Zero Waste Movement?

Being a dumpster rental company, we're in the business of finding new and better ways to dispose of waste. One of the growing areas of waste disposal involvements the "Zero Waste" movement which is a concept that envisions a society that reuses or recycles all of its waste. There are many proponents and advocates for increasing the use of recycling programs in major urban areas, as well as small-town communities.

However, the kind of recycling envisioned by some Zero Waste practitioners is different from current practices. Current recycling programs generally collect the materials after they have been thrown out and broken down to make new products from the resulting raw material. Under a zero waste model, the waste product would be reused as is (after being cleaned) once it's returned to the manufacturer. For instance, you would buy a bottle of milk at the store, drink it, and then return the empty bottle to a distribution hub where it will be returned to the factory for use again.
