How do I get waste removal?

The first step toward waste removal is giving us a call and talking to one of our customer service reps about a dumpster rental. That rep will ask you a series of questions to help determine what size or type of waste container is going to be right for you. Then, depending on your responses, we'll send you that dumpster, typically the very next business day if you want to get your project underway immediately. From there, you fill that roll-off rental with refuse, making sure that you don't over-fill the container. Once you are finished, simply call us back and tell us that you would like us to come out and handle pickup.

When you call for pickup, make sure you call the same number you called when you placed the order. Please do not call any number that might be printed on the side of the dumpster. Budget Dumpster handles your order from start to finish and we take care of everything for you. Also, please do not still be using the rental when we arrive onsite. If you call for waste removal and when we get there you are still filling the open-top, our driver will leave without make pickup. This would result in you needing to reschedule for a later date and also a costly trip fee being assessed to your account. Trip fees are around one hundred dollars and they are nonrefundable. We cannot stress enough how important it is that you wait until you have totally completed the project before calling for pickup.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
