How do you fill a roll off dumpster?
We recommend placing larger or heavier items in your roll off container first, using the dumpster door to walk them in. Try to spread the weight of your materials out evenly in the bin. For smaller or lighter objects, you can either walk them in or toss them in over the edges. When you’re finished, make sure your debris isn’t sticking up over the dumpster walls or hanging over the sides.
Why can I only partially fill my dumpster rental with certain materials?
When getting rid of heavy debris such as concrete or brick, you can only fill your roll off dumpster halfway to avoid exceeding the bin’s weight limit. Staying within the weight limit will ensure the container can be removed by our roll off truck, and will help you avoid additional fees. To estimate the tonnage of your materials and ensure you stay below your limit, use our weight calculator when deciding which size roll off container to rent.
Do I need a permit for my dumpster rental?
If you plan to keep your dumpster rental on the street, you will need a permit since it will be placed on public property. You can easily apply for a Right-of-Way permit online from the city of Georgetown. You will not need a permit if your roll off dumpster is kept on private property, such as in your driveway or on your jobsite.
