Should I cover my dumpster rental if it rains?
Heavy rain can fill your roll off dumpster with standing water, increasing its weight. In addition, any absorbent materials you throw away will retain more water and contribute to the bin’s weight. To avoid overage fees, we recommend covering your dumpster rental with a tarp. Most of the standing water inside the container should also drain out once the rain stops.
Why are some items not allowed in the dumpster?
Certain hazardous and flammable items are not permitted to be thrown into landfills, and must be disposed of in other ways. This includes items like tires, paint, oil and car batteries.
