How does waste removal work?

All waste removal starts with a problem. You've got some refuse, and you need to get rid of it. The next step would be to call a company where you can rent a roll-off. In this instance, might we suggest Budget Dumpster? You then give us a call and talk to one of our customer service representatives. They are going to ask you a few simple questions about the project you have ahead of you and be able to determine just what size and type of waste container is going to be right for you.

From there, it's simply a matter of picking a delivery date. We can usually make delivery on the open-top the very next business day. Then, once you have a dumpster, all you need to do is fill it up with refuse. You'll have a full fourteen days with the unit from the time it is delivered onsite to get your project completed. We can even extend your rental out longer if you need us to for ten dollars a day after the first two weeks. Once you are finished with the unit, give us a call and schedule waste removal. Again, as with delivery, we can usually come and get the dumpster the next business day, depending on our schedule. And from there, you're done. You feel accomplished and you'll be in a good mood since you were provided a hassle-free experience. Renting a waste container from Budget Dumpster is so easy you won't believe it until you try.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
