How long can I keep the waste container?

Each dumpster that you rent from Budget Dumpster is going to come with a two week rental period attached. This rental period begins from the time we deliver your dumpster onsite and not when you initially place the order. You can be sure that you are going to receive a full two week rental with each dumpster that you rent from us. And if you are going to need longer with the dumpster, that is no problem either. We can extend your rental out as long as you are going to need. You don't even need to tell us you are doing so.

A flat-rate pricing plan of ten dollars a day kicks in automatically after the first 10 days. This is the rate you are going to pay until you call us to schedule waste removal. Just be sure, that when you are finished with the dumpster, you call us back and not the number on the side of the dumpster. Budget Dumpster handles every part of the order for you to help avoid any confusion. If you have any questions about delivery or waste removal, feel free to contact Budget Dumpster five days a week. We are going to be able to answer any questions and alleviate any concerns you have along the way as well. Budget Dumpster is here to support the customer, no matter how complicated that roll-off rental might be. We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
