What should I remember for delivery day?

There are a few things we would like you to keep in mind so that delivery day (and your waste removal) goes off without a hitch. First, before you even place the order, remember that this dumpster is going to need a good bit of space, not only when resting but also during delivery. You should have a location set aside that can easily support the dumpster itself and also allows our flatbed to access the dumpster. Please make sure the road leading up to your location is also properly paved and would not be difficult for a flatbed truck to navigate.

In relation to the delivery zone itself, please remove all vehicles and obstructions so that we can back in without any issue. Our drivers unfortunately cannot wait around on delivery day for you to move something. And if there is a gate that needs accessed, please be available to help with that when we arrive for delivery or pickup. Your open-top order should be delivered to a location that is paved with concrete as well. If you have any questions about delivery of the roll-off rental or your waste removal, feel free to give us a call. Budget Dumpster is open and available five days a week, Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm Eastern. We'll be there for you every step of the way and able to remedy any situations that might arise. You'll never want to rent with those other guys again.

We rented a 20 yd dumpster for 2 weeks, with the rental period ending on 8/28/24. The service when I ordered/confirmed was quick and great, the dropoff was simple and easy, and scheduling pickup was simple as well. I had NO issues with this company or dumpster until the day of pickup. READ HERE: On the day of pickup, at 5:48am, I got a notification of a $74 charge to my credit card (the card that was used to pay upfront for the rental). I immediately emailed customer support and asked what the charge was for because we STILL HAD the dumpster at our home so I was confused - it had not been removed yet since it was so early in the day. I figured it was an honest billing mistake. The customer sevice person emailed me back at 7:45am, saying that the $74 was an overage fee since our dumpster went over the 1-ton weight limit. BUT THE DUMPSTER HADN'T EVEN BEEN PICKED UP YET. I STILL gave the benefit of the doubt, wondering if there was a censor of some sort on the dumpsters where they can tell the weight digitally from afar - but THEN, I read some of the other bad reviews here, and it seems this is a recurring thing. They charged my card for additional weight before they even removed/weighed the dumpster - had I not set alerts up to my phone, I likely wouldn't have realized this extra charge for quite awhile (if ever). I messaged with customer support who said they'll look into it with accounting, and I asked for photo/documentation proof of the final weight of our dumpster - to prove they charge fairly and aren't just adding how ever much weight they want knowing there's no way for customers to find out. The woman told me that IF this was an accurate charge, she'd provide the weight ticket from the landfill (proving they do NOT weigh it until it's at the landfill which would've been hours after my 5:48am credit charge). Support came back saying it WAS a "mistake," and I shouldn't have been charged that - and they did reverse it quickly; but I am left to wonder based on this experience and the past reviews if this was genuinely a mistake, or if this is something they do to get extra money every so often in hopes that people don't notice the additional charge to their credit cards. Good experience other than now feeling like they tried to charge me extra unfairly - and likely will not use this 3rd party company again for that reason alone.
