What should I know about filling the unit?

There a few things you should keep in mind when it comes to filling your dumpster. These are part of the terms of service that you agree to when you place an order. We'll go over it all again over the phone, but we want to highlight a few of the more important aspects here, at least in terms of filling the waste container. For starters, please do not let one end of the unit get filled higher than the other. This is important when it comes to loading the rental back onto the flatbed. If one end is heavier than the other, our truck will be unable to pull the container from off the ground. There is a door on each unit that can be used to facilitate keeping the refuse spread evenly.

When it comes to household debris, or general construction refuse, please fill the dumpster until the waste is level with the height of the walls. We call this “water level” and it's imperative that there is nothing sticking out beyond the dimensions of the container. By law, we cannot remove a dumpster and be on the road with it if there is waste that goes beyond the height of the walls. For heavy debris, please do not fill your rental any more than halfway. Anything more than this and the winch on our truck would not be able to load your rental or get it off the ground. Also, please do not mix your heavy debris types, rent your dumpsters accordingly.
